The Rev. Randy Wall, president of the Western North Carolina UMRF chapter, told the national group's annual banquet that the keys to successful rural ministry are five "P's":
In addition to food and fellowship, the banquet honored two members, the Revs. Sharon Schwab and Ronald Williams, with honorary life memberships, and elected officers for the next quadrennium. Sharon is a pastor and district superintendent from the Western Pennsylvania Annual Conference. Ron is a pastor and former UMRF Bulletin editor from the Kansas East Annual Conference.
Officers are Roger Grace, president; Peggy Paige, vice-president; Deb Ketcham, secretary; Mollie Stewart, treasurer; Carl Ellis, membership secretary; Peggy Jeffries, spiritual director; Dave Karges, communications director; and Judy Hill, advocacy director.
